The automotive industry has never stood still.

From carburetors to computers to today’s connected and data-driven vehicles, every generation of change has required shops to adapt, learn, and grow. That’s the world we come from.

Applied Automotive Technology was built on decades of real, hands-on experience repairing vehicles, training technicians, and helping shops solve problems as the industry evolved. Long before ADAS became part of everyday conversation, we were already helping technicians navigate new systems, new tools, and new challenges.

Because of that, we see ADAS as a natural next step in the ongoing evolution of automotive technology. When you work with us, you’re working with a team that understands where the industry has been, where it’s going, and what it takes to keep up.

Our History

A lifetime in the automotive industry has taken Gary Machiros from rebuilding engines in his father’s shop to training technicians around the world.

What began as hands-on curiosity became a career built on learning, teaching, and helping others solve problems. Over the years, he worked with shops across the country and internationally, supporting teams as vehicles became more advanced and more complex. Along the way, one thing became clear. As technology improved, the tools were advancing but the support and training weren’t always keeping up.

Applied Automotive Technology was created to close that gap.

Today, that same philosophy guides everything we do. We help shops evaluate and select the right equipment for their needs, then use it confidently, integrate it into their workflow, and turn it into a successful part of their business. Because every change in this industry brings new challenges but also new opportunities for shops that are ready to learn and adapt.

Meet Our Team

A commitment to real-world expertise, practical guidance, and long-term support shows up in everything we do. The team is built around people with years of experience across automotive, technology, and media—technicians, practitioners, trainers, and specialists who solve problems, communicate clearly, and keep work moving.

When you reach out, you’re not talking to a call center or someone reading from a script. You’re connecting with someone who understands the work and is ready to help you move forward with confidence.

We take that responsibility seriously and are here for the long run.
